if Matt Brown is a legend then Jorge already is as well
 
It’s pretty much what happened to Bisping after he beat Rockhold, so why not?

I never thought he'd take this fight. I thought he'd wait for a big payday with either Diaz 2 or Conor. This run he's on at this point in his career including the type of wins (electrifying) have been legendary. Now if this fight happens on Saturday? He's already the man and if he wins....Jumpin Jehosafaths!
 
It would be epic, but let's be honest he has been training a lot already for Usman, it's not like he's rolling off the couch. Usman is also at a disadvantage, he was prepping for a jiu jitsu beast the whole time. I don't think Masvidal can win a decision anyway, he has to finish it in the first 3 rounds, so in a way it might actually be better for him to swoop in by surprise

Have a full training camp and swoop in by surprise, like Conor used to do.
But we think he's probably had no training camp.
 
No. He has to defend it in a rematch. IF ever which I can't see happening.

Will he though? I mean when Bisping did it also against an opponent the common consensus was he had no chance of beating (while also riding the best streak of his career) he became the weakest Champ in MW history and a bum.

Love Jorge but I imagine the narrative will be the same here among the majority, though I would personally disagree just as I did with Bisping.
 
Yep him and Conor will be splitting 50 mil in fight of the century.

Askren has one top ten win in Lawler and one top 15 win. Many thought he may be better than what he was based on fighting lower level opponents, but once he fought top ten fighters he won one and lost one, coming out of retirement to do it. Maybe in his prime he may have done better, but Askren was alot of hype. He had wrestling up the ass, but couldn't strike to save his life.
