If Lombard uses Aldo's R1 after bell strikes on Mendes, he should win turnover.

After rewatching Aldo vs Mendes II at the end of R1, Aldo's punches were more egregious than Lombard's. If you watch Lombard's hips, he begins to throw the combo less than 0.2 seconds after the bell sounds, which is the limit for what is accepted in formula 1 driver's starting reaction times. Like Aldo, he threw a two punch combination, both punches decided on before he threw the first. This is the essence of a combination.

The average time it takes for a driver to hit the brake in an emergency is 1 second. Within 1 second of the bell sounding, Lombard's combination was finished and Dolloway was falling to the ground.

Lastly, there was no real examination of Aldo's mistake. He and Dana just said it was loud in there and they didn't hear the bell. If it's been done before worse and nothing was done or said about it, why should Lombard be punished?

Lastly, as a sidenote. Dolloway originally kept repeating that he heard the Ref say time before he was hit. It was only after it dawned on him that he could win a DQ that he changed his story to 'What happened?'

Yea, but you can't compare them because Lomard knew what he was doing. the Aldo vs Mendes 2 fight is a different story. the ref had done said "time" and Lombard still threw a two piece combo. was he in the rhythm? maybe so, but when a referee tells you "time" and you deliberately throw punches afterwards, then it's all on you. I don't blame CB for throwing the fight, I would've too. that was cowardly acting from Lombard, you can't tell me he didn't know what he was doing.

Lombard didn't get 10 replays to decide. He throws the combo as the bell sounds, by the time he could react it was too late. Easy for us to watch in later and say it was after the bell. If it takes a second to hit the brake when you're about to die, Lombard should get the same treatment.

He's big into honor and all that shit. Why would Dana lie? and Aldo? cmon mate.....
Whathever you say

the ref done said "time" though. when they do that, it's hands down until the next round starts. This is how it went, "pop... time (buzzer sounds).. pop pop.. time, time" now you tell me what that is. Lomard threw those punches after the bell when the ref done stepped in and called for the break. If the punches were on the buzzer and CB went down right after the buzzer ended, then okay I agree that Lombard shouldn't be punished, but at anytime you throw punches after the ref calls for a break and your opponent is knocked down because of it, there should be serious reprocutions. you're a professional fighter, you should know better. just my opinion.

Your trying to discredit Aldo meanwhile Conor will go down as the biggest fraud in UFC history. Aldo legacy is set as the best FW of all time. Conor will be know as a duck. Maybe you should be worried about him instead of Aldo.

I agree, my argument is only over the reaction time. It's hard as an observer to really put yourself in the position. Accident investigators go off empirical evidence that drivers take a full second to hit the brake when they learn they about to crash. I used a stopwatch and found that before Hector was given any indication that the round was over, he began the combo and within 1 second of that indication, CB was already falling to the ground. My point is, it looks worse than it is.
