he could very well be a top contender in the division within 2 more fights.

I would love to see Nurmago vs Sanchez for an amazing three rounds of throwing poorly placed bombs on each other

oh the fun it would be :)

I have doubted his chances going into both of his fights (Shalorus, Tibau), but he has a knack for throwing guys off their games. If Khabib beats Tavares, he may get the winner of Wiman/Grant or someone on that level.

I don't think he can be a contender within two fights. I really don't see him beating any of the top ten guys at lw right now.

I agree he has some serious talent but he's much farther away than you believe.

I came in this thread and found my initial answer right here. Thanks for saving me a good 20 seconds.

idk bro he's got some SERIOUS fckn sambo and very strong hands
his chin is still suspect because he hasnt been hit by any well known strikers,
but its never a bad thing having a new contender to throw in the mix
he could end up being mini fedor
xD

I like Rustam Khabilov better. He seems to be really hard to take down and he's really dangerous in the clinch - mainly because he'll blast the fuck out of you with his suplexes if you don't mind your footing.

He also seemed to have better set ups standing up and actually used combinations, whereas Nurmagomedov more often than not is simply content throwing haymakers and overhand rights.

I agree Khabilov is better. I also think Amagov is better than both and can't wait to see who he debuts against.

Adam Khaliev is interesting as well. He looks fun as hell to watch fight and his tornado kick was one of the best finishes of the last 2 or 3 years. I wonder when he'll debut.

I'm hoping to see great things from Khabib and rustam khabilov. They both show great potential but also have a lot of room for improvement

My job is to throw him, how he lands is his business.

I love how everyone has either a "granite" chin or a "suspect"/"glass" chin.

I'd have more faith in Khabib if he was training in the U.S. He still has youth on his side, but clearly he is no where near top 10 in terms of skill. Most importantly, he didn't show a huge amount of improvement in my eyes between his two UFC bouts.

I assume you're referring to Adlan Amagov? I'm asking because there are actually 2 of them, brothers actually.

You should check out Adlan's brother Musa, who fights out of the GB Gym Helsinki, Finland. He mainly trains with the UFC lightweight Anton Kuivanen. Musa has looked absolutely ferocious in all of his outings, although he did lose to Ott T

Isn't he training with AMA?

well i probably should of rephrased but im not implying he cant take a punch
shit i respect the guy and hope he gets a title shot
but im just leaving that category as a question mark since he hasnt fought a "Striker"

No, Khabib will not ever challenge for the title - he's sloppy as fuck and really did nothing to deserve that robbery over Tibau

Uhm Khabib trains at AKA. So uh yeah he already trains in the Ufc.

He didn't show a ton of improvement because he went from fighting a low level guy like Shalorus to a top 15 lw in Tibau. That was a massive step up in competition.

By the way, I'm sorry for derailing your thread.

Back on the actual topic, I'd really like to see Khabib vs Sass if both come out winning from their already booked fights.

Sass is below Khabib even after this win.
