If Jones never fights again, is this the most underwhelming retirement of all time?

It’s almost exactly what GSP did. If a journeyman can capture the HW strap and Jones suddenly feels like fighting again it will be the exact same situation.


So, a bit underwhelming, sure. But it’s happened before.
 
Bones is clearly the best guy I’ve ever seen. It’s funny the extreme bias makes trolls pain his career and performances poorly as there is no fighter even comparable to him. From resume to being at the top for so long.
 
I considered him retired a few years ago. It's pretty clear that he isn't the same guy he once was pre USADA

He was barely getting by at light heavyweight and the moment DC beat Stipe was the moment he thought he could escape light heavyweight to make history at heavyweight against Stipe.

The only problem was Stipe then loss and all of a sudden money was a huge issue in the Francis fight.
Will he still fight? Yeah I think so but it might just be an one off fight
