If Jeremy Stephens beats Aldo he should be next in line for title shot

If Jeremy comes out and gets a win that's better than every win Ortega has ever gotten (Aldo) he should for sure get the title shot next, Ortega has already legitimately ducked Jeremy even though he had a full training camp and Jeremy didn't. Ortega also had the nerve to call the interim title that was offered a fake belt, I love max to death but he has pulled out of 3 fights and his health status is completely unknown he should be stripped and told to move up a weight division. Ortega is waiting for a fight that doesn't exist and let's say max does come back it should be Jeremy fighting him.
TLDR; Jeremy will kill Ortega by 3rd round TKO

That's why I agree with you, I hope the ducking backfires and Ortega gets KTFO for shits and giggles and regret not taking on who da fook when he didn't have a full camp.
 
Agreed. Aldo is as good a win as you can get.

If Stephens beats Aldo and KOs him brutally he should leap frog over Ortega and get a title shot before him. Ortega let down the fans and Dana by refusing to fight when Max pulled out and doesn't a deserve a title shot if Stephens wins in this manner. If Colby gets this treatment while being interim champ why can't Ortega?

the ufc offered a title fight, the champion has pulled out of 3 fights and no one knows when he is back and ortega had a full camp, that is a duck plain and simple.

yeah and max couldn't get past dustin and conor, the past is the past mate, talking about the past how is ortega PED program going? Ortega would have gotten the same amount of money because it was a title fight and he doesn't receive ppv points. DUCK.
 
When he beats Aldo you mean? That guys done. It's less about his physical issues and more the mental.
 
I agree. Ortega was dumb avoiding the Stephens fight and sitting it. Now he has to win, and even then there are no guarantees. Getting on the ill side of Dana by not taking the fight might very well get him leapfrogged, and if he loses he won't be given any favors. He is a stupid dude.

If Stephens beats Aldo convincingly, he should get a title shot over Ortega. Sucks that Holloway was injured, but not taking another fight has its draw backs, like someone coming and taking your #1 contender spot, which Stephens definitely will take if he beats Aldo
 
I agree that Aldo is a better win than anyone Ortega has, but I don't agree that Ortega ducked Stephen's, hes waiting for that title shot, it's fairly commonplace nowadays, not necessarily ducking
 
I have a feeling max will be back to defend. Maybe against medical advice, but i strongly suspect he will come back and fight ortega. I think they rematch because it is literally impossible for that fight to not be absolutely epic. Stephens may have to wait it out.
