I know many will say that Jack doesn't deserve an opportunity but hear me out.
Let's look at it from the perspective of Rob's team. My guy has been concussed in his last 3 fights. Add to that he is dealing with health issues that keep him away for extended periods of time. Now that he isn't champ we can have somewhat of a warm up fight to see where we stand. Why go back in there with a heavy hitter like Kelvin, Jared, or Yoel when I can fight the next guy down in Jack? Win or lose, I likely won't get my fighter's brain scrambled, and likely won't be finished quickly if at all.

Now for Jack, no way he turns down such an opportunity for a quick change of momentum and to shoot back into the top 5. Jack has always mentioned that he wanted to fight Rob as well. It's perfect

Rob may disagree but if I'm his manager I'm trying to get a less dangerous fight than Kelvin or even Till. At least to measure up his abilities.

I would have thought about putting Jack up against Clish Weidman if he was still in the division. Chance to beat a guy with a name value and a bit of a step back for Weidman.

Would be interesting, Hermansson wont use his grappling, so it could go either way. I'm leaning more on Whittaker, because he seems to be the slightly better striker.

Before The Chris got KOed by Jacare, everyone on the come up wanted him.
He had become like the "Michael Bisping" of that time. Big name that everyone felt they could beat and get a push from.

Bisping has never been ko'd back to back nor has he ever amassed more than two losses in a row. Bisping is proven to be a better fighter than Chris, I don't think IV's would make Wiedman that mediocre

Rob vs Till win or lose.
    Kelvin vs Yoel

That's what I'd like to see.

I'm not comparing the way they loss or won. Just that they were big named that lower contenders perhaps underestimated because of their losses.

Literally everyone wanted to fight Bisping if they wanted to be known.

Also Bisping has never consistently faced the caliber of opponents Weidman has. Cmon, you are reaching.

    Never fought Jacare
    Never fought Romero
    Never fought Mousasi
    Never fought Weidman

Yup good fight for whittaker, hermansson is high in the rankings but he won’t be able to take rob down and his chin is weak so he likely gets KO’d by right cross high kick combo. Anyone else in the top 5 likely flattens rob.

He ko'd Luke Rockhold in the first round, and Wiedman was ko'd by everyone of those guys you mentioned.

He also got brutalized by Luke in their first fight and Belfort kicked his eye out. That is all irrelevant though.

I don't know who would have won in a fight.

Cannonier wants that. As fans we would enjoy it. But as Rob's manager would you want that?

Also I'd like to see Kelvin vs. Jared to decide the next number 1 contender after Costa gets beat up. I wouldn't complain about Jack vs. Yoel.

    So Till isn't dangerous now?

Jack just got startched by Jared, I don't think taking on the number 2 is best for his him right now. Good fight for Whittaker, though since it puts him up against tough, but easily winnable fight.

Contray to belief, Robert and Yoel 3 wouldn't be bad. Jared gets the winner of Till and Kelvin and then faces a number 1 contender if he shall win. Would like to see Brunson vs. Jack and then the rest of the divison shakes out as normal.

Robert could also wait and take on another top guy who just came off a loss to bounce back.

Rob beat him 2x according to judges and I agree with them. What does a 3rd fight do for Rob right now besides put him in danger LOL.

If KG beats Till and then gets matched up with Cannonier, the winner of that fight HAS to get the next title shot, because Israel will need an opponent when he's through with Costa.

If Darren Till pulls the upset, I don't know what the hell happens.
