If I work the heavy bag in just handwraps am I getting stronger hands?

Yes, but don't go full force. Or anywhere close to it. Get good, solid, repetitive hits but use gloves for power punches. I like to warm up doing that, but almost exclusively use jabs. You won't develop iron fists over night but after a while, yes, you will notice a difference in the denseness of yourhhands. Over do it though and you'll end up with some freaky arthritis

I think alot of you guys are splitting hairs in 4.

I for one, think it is a good thing to routinely punch the heavy bag bare hand.
Not to develop the iron fist or such bullshit. I don't think that your hand will strenghten.

Rather, I focus on the impact of my punches, and I focus on punching properly (proper alignement and placement).

I have noticed that I have a better awareness now, and that my bare punches feel less "fragile". I think that my technique has improved, and that I may have corrected some things that were wrong.

It's not designed to replace classical bag work with wraps and gloves. Just an additional exercise that I do in moderation with controlled power.

Anyone gone bare knuckle on a fridge before?
