why wasn't Anderson penalized for the late knee? or at least talked too about his knee being late?

if the knee was legal, why was Bisping given time to recover?

definitely NOT an Anderson fan, but just seemed kind of bullshit.
 
Herb gestured like he was moving in, just to tell Bisping to fight, and at the exact same moment Anderson knee'd him in the face.

No one really to blame, just unfortunate.
 
Refs normally don't call for a stop until a pause in the action. That should apply here. Even then Herb wasn't very forceful with his intervention. Anderson was fine continuing. Bisping should know better than divert his attention away from his opponent like that anyway.
 
Herb Dean should scoot his ass a little faster next time.

How was he given time to recover?

The round ended, he was saved by the bell, Herb didn't give him any time.

He was given a lot of time. Herb as a ref didn't take control of the fight like his job is.
Although, based off of the 3rd, maybe he did lol.
 
Herb should have stepped in but he knew the round was about to end and figured he could let it play out a few extra seconds... BUT bisping kept his hands down and almost paid for it. Beautiful flying knee .

he wasn't given any extra time to recover. anderson was sitting on the fuckin cage and wouldn't listen to the officials to get off.
 
bisping pushed silva away to make space so he could protect his teeth. herb failed to do his job

as for the extra time, blame silva

The cornermen didn't come in until well after Bisping was sat down looking at a doctor like he was KO'd.
That literally happened. It was 2:27 that Bisping had total to recover.
 
Im always shocked when people say Herb is one of the better refs....
 
Referees makes mistakes from time to time because they are human beings, but Herb did fuck all wrong in this situation. The ref bashing is getting out of hand.

When was he given time?

The round ended, he gets time between the rounds, all the nonsense after the knee actually hurt Bisping because they never had time to get the cutman in.

The entire time he was on a stool being looked at by a doctor until the corners came in.

I don't get it really they were fighting..

Bisping pushed Silva off sure but Anderson engaged immediately. Bispings fault for not protecting himself. It's just easier to blame Herb since most can't stand the fact that he's actually a good ref.
