If GSP puts on a show and challenges for the belt, should he get it? And what happens to Maia?

What´s your opinion about it? If GSP puts on a big performance and challenges for the belt? Should he get it? What happens to Maia in this scenario? Can Maia still choose to wait for his TS or should he be forced to fight?

What´s your opinion sherbros?

GSP is the GOAT. If he wants a TS it should be his.

Who is going to pay 10 million to see him win by decision?

Maia gets pushed to the side. UFC does not care about winning streaks or who should be next. Come on man, get on with the times.

And what happens to Maia? Do you think they should force him to take another fight or let him wait indefinetely to have his TS?

Maia can wait. Its not like his stock is going to dramatically increase by fighting once more.

GSP retired as the king of the division, if he wants the shot he gets the shot, regardless of who's the champion or in contention

Against who? The rumor is Silva which would not even take place at 170. I doubt he fights Silva. He refused it when he was prime, why would he take it now? Makes no sense. So he has no fight booked.. why would he be fighting for the 170 title? He's always been a shrewd contender. He doesn't want a fight with Woodley, Thompson or Maia. They're huge risk fights for him that he would likely lose.

GSP will put on a great performance, no doubt, And 50-45 whoever he fights at Ww. Then he should and will get the titleshot, And 50-45s that one too. And all of us that almost forgot him, will again be really annoyed and wait for him to lose.

LOL shertard trolls going full shertard are fun to watch, thank you.

What should happen is irrelevant to the UFC. They don't give a shit about legitimacy. Gsp would probably get the belt while they would "do something cool for Maia too".

Highly doubtful. all these guys beat the guys who were GSPs stiffest competition. New game and GSP isn't in it. Not taking away from him, but time has changed.

Maia will have to take a back seat if GSP wants a TS.

Which I doubt he'd mind, considering Maia could get a blue panty night facing GSP, it would be in his interest to face GSP for the belt, and sitting out for another 6 months for a TS isn't unheard of, look at Woodley who got to sit out for 18 months because his opponent didn't make weight.

Besides there's no other contender at WW whose anywhere close to a title shot.

Yup like Maia, T Woodley, and Robbie Lawler all beat J. Shields right??

No but a good amount of lesser fighters certainly have. Shields is known for some extreme highs and extreme lows in his win/lose all of which are strung together on large spans of almost actionless laying about. He's a bit of an uninteresting enigma.
