After Maia's loss tonight, another challenger and a guy who was considered a threat until Shields tonight beat him. Now it looks like after Hendricks there isn't anyone who really poses a huge threat to GSP. There are some up and comers like Thatch and Nelson but they are miles away. Rory hasn't looked great lately and Lawler would have a punchers chance imo. The Dong really impressed tonight but...Condit. Who can challenge GSP if not Hendricks? Thoughts?

Game Ellenberger, MacDonald but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon and Condit can still cause problems IMO and the Robbie Lawler that showed up against Koscheck has a decent chance too IMO.

I was thinking about the same thing. With Maia out of the title picture and Rory making it clear he won't fight GSP, there aren't any real contenders for the title. Well, unless Lawler or Brown beat the odds and win their upcoming matches.

    Lawler if he beats Rory.
    Brown if he beats Condit.
If both guys lose, Rory x Condit for the next crack and GSP... damn, only god knows.
Why the fuck did Maia lost that fight?

Yeah Brown would be interesting because of how aggressive Brown is in first 2 mins. GSP 50-45 though.

    Rory MacDonald and Carlos Condit.

People don't talk enough about Condit's last performance. He looked absolutely incredible in that fight.

Brown if he has an impressive win over Condit

Lawler if he finishes Rory. Browm should get it first but I'd love to see Lawler get a title shot.

It sucks Maia lost he matched up well with Georges, although I expect he would've been picked apart standing.

Just when GSP was slowing down... the whole division has slowed down. This might afford GSP another year or so of dominance.

I mean, if WW was a complete shark tank, I could see GSP losing, or retiring. But the division is prime for about 5 more GSP by UDs.

Rory is the only legitimate threat to the throne and they won't fight. Hendricks has an outside chance, but I don't think he'll win.

When the hell did MW become more exciting than WW and LHW?

Big Rig has the only chance.

    After that, there's nobody. Imo.
