He hasn't looked good in his past 3 fights and those wins keep looking worse in hindsight. Reyes got dominated and finished, Smith got beaten up badly and finished, and if an out of prime Glover beats Santos it will say a lot about how far Jones is from where he was a few years ago.

I remember people predicting Condit beating GSP after he knocked out Dan Hardy in the first...based on the same logic.

it would have been awesome if Glover had been the one to finally beat and dethrone Jones. Old nice guy beats young roiding asshole.

lol @ out of prime Glover.
He is on his run for a title now. When was his prime exactly??
I think he has a good chance to shut the lights off of Maretta even though I consider Thiago to be a true contender it's just a stylistic bad matchup for him imo.
I'm thinking of even making a small bet on Glover. He's a live dog at +280.

To be fair Condit also flying knee KO'd DHK as well. After reversing him from the bottom.

GSP was coming off a knee surgery and long lay off.

I still picked GSP to beat Condit but i was nervous.

I think as gets older Jon has a developed a sort of mental block in protecting his longevity in the game.

OR the yay made him Scarface, bruh. He was afraid of nothing. He should be a allowed a bump or two before his walkouts.

Or maybe it proves that Jon took their souls.

People use this exact same logic against GSP <Lmaoo>

No, Glover and Jones are different people and have different strengths and weaknesses as fighters. MMA math doesn't work.

Funny how a fighter that has never really been beaten, is thought by some to be washed up! Maybe he just isn't motivated to fight, and beat those last 3 guys coasting. I think he is looking for big money fights, and none exist in the LHW division. I bet if the chance to fight Adesanya at 205 comes up, Jon will take it. Otherwise he will be looking at HW.

I don't think Glover is in his prime but he's doing very well. IMO Glover was in his prime around the time he fought Rampage.

Well, Jones did beat Santos so not sure what Glover beating Santos would mean? Jones has however looked mediocre in his last couple of fights but I think it has more to do with Jones’ cockiness rather than him being washed up. Jones wants to beat you at your own game and he has until the Reyes fight had the tools to do it. If he for once starts fighting smarter and use his wrestling and GNP it think he’ll start looking unbeatable again.
