Don't Overeem and Fedor have a rivalry going back a few years from when Fedor's management accused Overeem of being on analobic substances to obtain his advanced physique?

Would this fight still be marketable today being that Overeem has lost some size, and Fedor hasn't fought professionally in some time?

Either way, I see a lot of interesting match-ups for Fedor: Werdum, Arlovski, and Overeem.

Other potential matches are Velasquez, and Jones at a catch-weight, or light heavy weight.

    Clickbait title: BAN!

And yes, Emelianenko vs. anyone would sell.

How is it a clickbait title? I posted a question mark at the end?

Did you not see the question mark?

The reem wants to stay as far away from fedor as possible. I see another highlight reel ko on the reems resume again. rivaling the one he had against big foot.

Ninja edit with the "IF;" you learn quickly. You will do well here.

Any name heavyweight or light heavyweight would sell HUGE numbers with Emelianenko. Emelianenko has a unique mystique, even with the three straight losses, that the casual audience of the last generation of MMA (the boom period) still remembers. They'll come back knowing that Emelianenko has finally signed with UFC, and is fighting fighters they wished he fought back then.

Of course it would sell. Reem is a casual fans dream.

Actually, I think the mods did the edit. I didn't think I made a click bait title.

Would people buy it? Yes, of course. Would it sell out and be a 1 million + ppv? Very doubtful. I'd be surprised to see it get more than 3-400k buys.

Pretty much, I think Fedor vs anyone half decent in the UFC would draw good numbers.

As far as Overeem goes if he beats JDS then he'll clearly be riding high and might well get the next shot at the belt, if Fedor/Werdum happened and the former won then a fight between Fedor and Overeem for the belt would likely draw well.

Exactly, but, he will probably look older and slower :icon_sad:

I hope I am wrong. But, when it comes to Fedor, I don't get excited until he makes a decision. I never know with him. He is very passive with his fans. He just fights for one simple reason. Nothing else matters. I like that mystique about him in that regard, but, I learned my lesson to not think much about anything until it happens.

Because your title is not click bait. That guy is just a Ronda ball slurper and they do that kinda crap all the time.

And Overeem vs Fedor would do 1 million buys easy.

Wait, what? Do you really see Fedor's first fight in the UFC being for the title?

I'd buy it. It's a fight I really want to see, even if it is 5 years too late.
