I know Overeem is waiting in the wings should he beat Antonio Silva, but we've seen a few championship rematches as of late (mostly at LW).

If Cain is able to finish Dos Santos, do you think Dos Santos will be given an instant rematch?
Trilogies have proven to be big business in the UFC.

depends. If its a Split Decision then probably yes. If cain ktfos him, then no

So many variables..

I would guess.. NO.. Dana White wants Cain as champ more than JDS imo..

Dana White would probably set up Cain vs Overeem

No. He'll probably have to win more than one fight to get another shot. He's not Mexican and his name isn't Frankie or Chael.

I think they would set up Cain vs Reem first and give JDS one fight before a title shot like they did with Cain.

This. The only way JDS gets a rematch is if it's a close decision, and the chances of any heavyweight title fight going to decision seems really low.

I figured this would be the correct response, but what if Overeem has a terrible performance like he did against Werdum in Strikeforce. Next up might be Cormier, but he won't fight Velasquez. So, it's either a trilogy fight with Dos Santos or possibly facing someone like Mir or Nelson.

He should Cain basically did and he KO'd in a minute. I can't see this going 5 rounds so we'll see.

I doubt it; Dana doesn't appear to want JDS to be champion.

No, no one should get immediate rematches unless its controversial. I would say the same to Anderson and gsp.

I have to agree with the majority of previous posters and go with no. Dana has shown a certain level of bias towards Cain in the past. Also I cant see them blowing their wad on another trilogy in such quick succession again.

It's only fair if he does. But then again, this is the UFC everything has become so unpredictable.

Why is it fair for JDS to get an immediate rematch? Cain had to beat Bigfoot to get the rematch.

Because Cain got KTFO quick as hell. His performance against Bigfoot helped establish another claim to a second shot. If he would've look weaker then maybe not.

It also depends on the decision too. If Cain completely outclasses him for 5 rounds then he won't, but if it's close, then yes

If he loses he will need to win 1 win to get a title shot just like all former HW champs the last 3 years

He should fight the Overeem/Bigfoot winner for the contender spot.
