If McGregor returns, goes to 170 and KOs Usman in one round and retires; do you consider him a contender for GOAT status?

It would be pretty hard to argue if he overcame a beast like Usman

Well, would you? If Chuck did that, I'd consider him GOAT.

What do you imagine Conrat has for Kamaru standing or on the ground? He took bombs from Jorge and Gilbert and recovered like nothing, and grapplefucked Tyrone like he stole something.

No beating usman on a fluke doesnt make you goat. One win will never make you a goat.

Beating the king doesn’t make you the king. History matters. If a good fighter is gifted a fight against a great fighter 10+ times the good fighter can steal a victory or two out of those 10 doesn’t make them better. If Conor worked his way up the 170 ladder and beat usman and defended then that’s a different story.

Yes this would change his place from where it is now. 3 weight class UFC champ ... not sure he'd be the GOAT without some defenses / more wins ... but it would move him in to conversations of some of the best all-time fighters and careers.
That said, if he went to 170 and fought Usman, he'd be like <3% or something to win the fight. I'd be very happy to lay the 4:1 or whatever the odds would be because Conor nut-huggers bet him getting 3:1 or w/e thinking he has a shot. In other words, he basically doesn't have a chance. Usman would murder him. He might not even wrestle him to just knock him out with jabs.

He would have to come back, beat Dustin, beat the LW champion, and beat the WW champion.

Nope. It would be a one off performance. It wouldn't erase the losses to Diaz, Khabib and Poirier. In his physical prime years

In a world where people actually think Simone Biles is the GOAT then sure, but it seems people have forgotten what GOAT actually stands for: Greatest of All Time, which like Simone Biles, Conor would fall well short of.

This is SO silly that mods really need to euthanize unrealistic shit like this....immediately. Throw in the fact that dumb is so contagious in the mma community so I double down on it.

Nah. "Somehow" is the important thing here.

There is no way he'd do that fairly and legitimately. Cheating doesn't make you GOAT.

He looked 'small' compared to Doestin.
Fakenewsman would dunk Conman on his head.
