He can convince a lot of goober fans that a submission loss isn't a real loss. But getting KTFO would be pretty tough to explain.

Real UFC fans know that Conor is merely a lower weight puncher whose main strength (...punching) is unproven beyond 145.
...meanwhile, casual fans are all about WWEntertainment.
That said, a casual fan does NOT a successful UFC make.
To summarize...
The UFC is in trouble; it's becoming exceedingly laughable and fucking disgraceful.

If he keeps fighting, it'll happen eventually. Only way to avoid it is retiring before it happens.
If it happened against Eddie, I don't think he'd change a thing, although his drawing power would be diminished. He'd come out and say Eddie landed a good punch, but it will never happen again and he'll knock his head clean off in a rematch. Conor acts the way he does because he knows it draws eyeballs. He's not going to suddenly stop because he gets KO'd. It may be less effective after getting KO'd, but going humble would end his money train completely.

it would hurt his image real bad. he was silent up until the conference for diaz vs mcgregor 2 from what i remember.. and that was after being submitted which was not his game to begin with. now if he gets knocked out imagine how silent he would be, there's no trash talk that can over shadow that KO, especially if it was a standing KO. the mcgregor fans here would probably be more saltier than the anti mcgregor/brazilian fans since now the latter now has a gif of conor being KO'd. each thread would be plastered with that gif, in several different angles and on different social networks as well.
