What do you think his next move should be?

-Defend his FW belt against Edgar/Aldo

-Fight for the LW title against RDA

-Skip the LW Title hunt and go for the WW title against Lawler

Personally, I feel win or lose v. Nate, he should defend his belt against Edgar. If he insists on going for one of the other two belts, I believe he should vacate it unless he truly can fight as often as he says. I'm a huge fan of Conors, but I'm not 100% sure he could beat someone the size of Lawler, atleast not without time off to properly bulk up more

Thoughts?

If he smashes Nate, move forward with title shot against RDA, and / or Lawler.

If Nate somehow beats him, or gives him one hell of a fight, drop back down and fight Edgar or Aldo.

This shit has gotten so out of hand. Lawler would rape that poor little Irish boy long time.

what the gif man said. Also I know that's not a reason not to make new threads but I feel like the subject has been beaten to death already.

I don't think he should go back down to 145 give up that midget division and go for the 155 or 170 belt.

If he looks great at 170 then i'd say he should vacate 145 and test both 155 and 170. Cutting to 145 has probably done a lot of harm to his body.

So does that mean if Nate smashes Mcgregor he should get a LW or WW shot?

edit: I am not serious. Just pointing out...aw forget it.

Then let them fight. It would be spectacular if he actually won or the butthurt on sherdog if Conor lost would be even better

Lol we all know Nate isn't even being considered right now. He's merely a gift in the eyes of Dana n co

Regardless what happens, he HAS to go back to FW and defend/vacate

Then he can do whatever he likes in any division

I wonder if this was Conor's plan all along. Beat up the little guys and from that position leapfrog all the LW contenders to get the LW title then give up the FW belt. It'd be pretty funny for Aldo to come back and win it again and rule FW again after what happened and never avenging it.

It would be awesome to see Connor become the first triple-division champion, and I would love to see him simultaneously hold the FW/LW belts (or atleast vacate the FW title if he wins the LW belt) but I really think he'd be biting off more than he can chew against Lawler or some of the larger WWs, atleast without time to properly adjust to the weight

I think Diaz, like his brother after the GSP fight, will go off to a marjiuana induced happy place for a while.

If conor does move to 170...
wtf is Conor gonna do when he has to fight Wonderboy Thompson....
dude is a frickin monster with the standup..Just stay at LW

if he beats nate then he should fight his brother nick, if he beats nick then I suggest he move upto MW
(wonder if he could beat werdum?)

Who knows. Are Aldo/Frankie an option at 200? Is RDA?

Conor is going to take the best fight put forth. If its Lawler he will take it. If its RDA he will take it. If its at 145...I hope he doesn't take it.

My advice would be RDA at 200 then vacate the 145 belt and rematch Aldo at 155.

I don't care at this point. Whatever Conor wants. They're all interesting fights.

As a Conor fan I want to see him fight Lawler because I think he's a more favorable matchup to some other potential WW champs like Wonderboy, Condit, Rory, GSP even.

The RDA fight should be re-booked for UFC 200, Conor wouldn't do that well against the top, top guys at Welterweight, I think he could dominate Featherweight and Lightweight, though.

After Nate fight I'd like to see McGregor fight Rory MacDonald.

That would put him in the welterweight title picture,

and then I'd like to see him defend the welterweight title against either Stephen Thompson or an immediate rematch if the loser made it hard to win.

I just looked at the featherweight division and saw that they need more proving rights before fighting Conor, and now that he can do welterweight I would like to see him do high profile fights

there than to go fight for the lightweight belt.
