If Conor beats Aldo, it might set up Conor vs Pettis!

Have people forgotten just how good is Pettis's standup? This is a man who finished Donald Cerrone with a body kick inside one round. This is the man who was picking apart Ben Henderson and Gilbert Melendez before submitting both men. Melendez hadn't been finished by any fighter in twelve years of fighting. And Henderson hadn't been finished by any fighter for seven years before he fought Pettis for the second time.

Pettis would destroy Conor. There would be nothing left of the Irish fighter but a green ink-spot in the Octagon.

Yeah but if both Conor and Pettis are prime and healthy, i think they should just make the fight cause who knows if they'll get the opportunity again.

It's just too hard to get it to line up. Conor still has many fights at FW EVEN IF he defeats Aldo. Frankie and Mendes are guys he needs to fight, and in typical UFC fashion Aldo will get another crack too. It just doesn't make sense.

Then Pettis needs to fight Khabib and probably Cerrone again at this rate. Conor seems crazy enough to campaign for a fight with Pettis and I'm sure Pettis would oblige him, but champions jumping divisions is a very hard thing to make happen.

Conor has stated a desire to clean out the Division , so don't expect a unification bout anytime soon. Although that Cut looks like it ain't pretty for him

He talks so much he's pretty much promised to stay and clean out the division and move up. He just says what will get him the most publicity at the time.

Doesn't matter Aldo is taking Conor out in two rounds.
