Actually, both Ronda and Cat are "alphas"...but yeah, if Cat wins your scenario could play out. I could see something like Cat vs. Holm (fast-tracked to title shot) while Rousey takes a tune-up (on Corriea...or maybe Reneau) ultimately setting up a rematch between Cat and Ronda around New Year.

I would want to see Cat vs Cupcake 2! Of course, I'm biased in favor of Miesha, in this instance, though. Most likely Ronda would get the rematch. But I think it would be more interesting in the long run to have Ronda fight someone to get another shot and let Cat try to defend it once. It would build up the rematch more. The immediate rematches get fucking annoying.

While I see why the general consensus is that there will be an immediate rematch, I can see why they would do Cat-Tate 2.

Meisha can sell fights. I don't think anyone is going to argue that. And Cat's story will get anyone on her side, especially if she beats Ronda. They can give Cupcake her rematch, while setting up Rousey with another opponent, probably Bethe, and get 2 draws instead of 1, building up more hype for Cat-Rousey 2.
