They will be averaging around the same viewership as the UFC's free cards. This season of Bellator has averaged around 500K viewers and a big number tonight could help them even more. From UFC Fight Night 26-30 They average around 600K viewers. UFN 30 did just 122K viewers. Seems like SpikeTV does help. Thoughts?

Hope it does great numbers. Hope Eddie wins a crazy 5rd war and sets up #3 in the near future. Bellator could use a big rivalry between Chandler and Alvarez to help carry them. They are the only guys that would be legit title contenders in the UFC that's on their roster. I'm not too high on Mo or FW champion. Good but not as good as Eddie or Chandler. Askren is good but he's a little boring. Bjorn dirsntvesnt want him to stay at Bellator. Lol

Ps ignore the little sad face up top.

I wonder how much of ufc ratings have been hurt by jumping channels so many damn times and having no consistency between time of events and time events are on

A lot. It's one of their biggest problems.

Considering how good the card is it would be embarrassing for bellator if they don't do good numbers on this free card. If anything it would just fuel the haters. For the success of the sport of mma i can only hope that bellator will do decent views tonight so it can prove that ufc isn't the only game in town and the sport can actually grow with healthy competition.

And those channels they're jumping to are ones nobody has, like FS2.

"We've got a new deal with FS1. It's going to be the new home of the UFC. But this next card, and the one after it, will be on FS1's unpopular ugly sister, FS2. You know, the channel you never heard of and don't get it. But FS1 is our home."

I doubt they do good. Mainstream thinks UFC=MMA and don't undestand how good this card is.

Oh, and by the way, this event is on Saturday...and the next event is on Friday...and the event after that is on Wednesday.

UFN 30 only got 122k? God damn those are practically infomercial numbers.

Contact your local cable provider to order FX, FS1, and FS2, and go to Sherdog.com to find out when the fuck the fights are on.

I'm glad I'm Canada. Sportsnet. That's all.

I know where and when they're on. Johny Casual doesn't because they keep moving events to different nights and channels.

I was reduced to watching the last UFC event that was on FS2 (which I don't get) on FOX Deportes (which I do). I'm sure Werdum is a good commentator, but after an hour and a half of only understanding every third of fourth word of what was said, I felt like I was going to lose my mind.

Bellator's numbers have been declining on Friday night, been declining since their debut on Spike and are peaking in the 1st hour of their airings.

So no, Spike really doesn't seem to have helped them much.

Their ratings are hurting for sure due to the time jumps but there's not much they can do there. Fox pays them top dollar to fit in wherever they need the UFC to fit in and so they're pretty much putting the shows where they can put them. They're just going to have to deal with it if they want the 100+ mil Fox pays them.

FS2 has a very limited houshold reach. It's what Fuel turned into plus it was on at Noon on a Saturday. It's comparable to Bellator on MTV2. Actually I think MTV2 is in more housholds.

I think their average this season is WELL above 500k, probably around 550. It would be closer to 600 I think if not for factoring in the first event which was randomly on a Saturday and not well promoted.

But Spike definitely helps, to wit, you can't compare the numbers really at this point. UFC is still on a new station. They need a little time to build. And really Bellator should get consideration for being on Fridays too. I think comparing the ratings of the two organization's cable events at this point is an exercise in pointlessness.

They should be compared to themselves. They both actually seem to be trending down a bit, so that's cause for negativity for both organizations.

But this week's Bellator event is big for ratings' implications. It will be interesting to see what they pull with all the promotion. They've been advertising on ESPN, TBS, etc.; that I've seen. That was for the PPV, so may throw a wrench in the works, but they gotta do at least 1 million I gotta think with all they've put it out there and the talent enclosed. No idea what they actually do. Nothing from like 400's to like 1.8 million would surprise me. Different night, but abnormal buzz.

Events in Europe, Australia, Asia complicate that.

Tape-delay sucks.

Yeah I would rather see it live as well. I think they do a poor job advertising foreign event tv times. I always have to check sherdog even tho I see the commercials

MTV 2 is in about 75-80 mill I believe, FS2/Fuel is in 35 million homes.
