If a fighter wants to beat Conor, do they have to first understand that they'll get hit?

So far, everyone Conor has destroyed has talked about using wrestling, leg kicks, or circling away in order to nullify him. They think that without the left he's got nothing. Is this a dangerous mindset to have? Putting so much weight on a guys biggest weapon, and convincing yourself that is all he has. But when the wrestling/leg kicks don't work..they start to panic...make mistakes..and boom they get starched.

If someone wants to beat Conor, is a must that they have to realize that they will have to take a few punches and have to gut it out in order to get the W. So far, Nate is the only guy to do that...and he's had great success. Beat Conor the first time and lost a very controversial MD.

The type of fighter he is, you can't just avoid and run away from his hands. I think if most fighters realized that they will get hit, and that they may get hurt...they have to go Diego Sanchez mode and eat a little bit to get the fight where they want. Daniel Cormier realized that he will probably get hit by Rumble...and proceeded to beat him. Bader on the other hand thought that the only way to win was to take him down, putting too much emphasis on his bombs. Bader ended up shooting a petrifying double across the cage and getting beat down for it.

Why are people acting like beating him is some sort of mystery nobody can figure out. He literally lost less than a year ago.

Because Nate has intangibles that other fighters dont have. He;s a rare breed, guys like Alvarez, Mendes, Poirier, Brandao, etc...come and go. Tall boxers with great BJJ, amazing cardio, strong chins/durability, and a willingness to trade are rare.

A rare breed that has 11 losses and has taken some savage beatings. The UFC hyped him up big time when he beat Conor.

Pie is Conor's greatest weakness. His next opponent will have to do the same.

What do you think would happen to Conor if he fought a Prime Bendo, Dong Hyun Kim or Rory?

Its not hard to beat or figure out Conor.

Nate is a mid tier LW and he shit on Conor twice.

Real fighters have Nates brother throwing in the towel while hes getting savagely beat, Conor is not capable of that because hes not that calibre fighter.

Khabib would smash him, Milendez would finish him, Edgar takes him, any WW takes him etc....

What the fuck are you even asking kid?

I swear every day on here there's some version of "How can anybody stop McGregor?" and it's like "Well maybe look at his three losses and see how they happened."

Nate got the towel thrown once
Savage beatings? Who's beat him that bad? That one Josh Thomson TKO where he took a massive headkick and punches, yet was still conscious? What other savage beatings has he taken? Go ahead, I'll wait. The RDA fight was a one sided loss, Henderson was a one sided loss, Mcdonald was a one sided loss, all his losses are to the absolute Top 2-3 guys of that respective division. He isn't a mid tier fighter, try to look at things other than a record.

Right? The guy has tapped out 36 seconds into the first round and we have people acting like he's prime Machida. Even after seeing him dicked down with ease and finished then getting a lucky decision to a sub par fighter who's never been considered champ material.

I think its fair to say that its very likely your gonna get tagged at some point. You need exceptional defence or a solid chin to even stand a chance in the stand up department

It would take a world champion with KO power (enough to KO RDA's titanium chin) and solid wrestling.
    Someone like Eddie.

Or a great MT fighter and excellent BJJ black belt. Someone who has beaten them all and is an all time great.
Of course he'd need at least 2 chances to get it done, lest he get KO'd in 13 seconds.

What has Gilbert show that proves he has anything for Mcgregor? He got beat by Alvarez and Mcgregor just smoked alvarez a month ago. And don't bring up the "styles make fights" idea...because Gilbert and Melendez are both decent strikers who try to work their wrestling. Why are you even bringing up WW? He was a FW, and LW...bringing up WW is just an attempt at desperation. No one actually thinks he would starch the elite WW.

Doesn't matter. Styles make fights. Heck, I can see Aldo, Eddie and maybe even Mendes beating Nate. And even then, Conor's biggest enemy in the first fight was his own self: he blew his wad early, was a reckless head hunter and wasn't conditioned properly, he showed in the second fight that he rectified said problems and learned from it. There is no denying that the Conor that just beat Eddie was different from the Conor that fought Mendes/Nate; lunging in, getting hit more, throwing silly wheel gas guzzling kicks, trying to complete a prediction rather than win a fight.

Ok and how much credit did they get you fucking smartass? Oh let me guess you werent there and youre the one only looking at the record?

People act like McTapper actually achieved something when he got fucked up by Nate for the 2nd time and lucked out with a razor thin decision.

When RDA made Nate his lil prison bitch nobody gave a shit cause its just Nate dude wake the fuck up. Same as alll the many fighters who run right through his lil ass. Learn you some MMA, chump.

They were fighters who utilized their wrestling to hold him down and beat him up. Conor has shit in the wrestling department, so all he had was his striking. And when he gassed out, Nate put the whooping on him. In this particular case, Nates style is tailor made to put a guy like conor on skates. Only way to really dominate Nate is great leg kicks and serious wrestling pressure
