Idea for an all hwt card

Next month Stipe fights Francis and the winner fights JJ. Since Lewis and blaydes just fought and gane vs rozenstruik is coming up, there could be some exciting matchups. I think ufc should make an all hwt main card let’s say around august/September

main event: JJ vs the winner of Stipe/Francis
Co main: Lewis vs winner of Rozen/gane
Third: volkov vs loser of Stipe/Francis
Fourth: blaydes vs loser of rozen/gane
Fifth: aspinall vs daukaus
Prelim headliner: oleinik vs arlovski/overeem

We nearly had one of the Best HW cards of all time at UFC 146 I think

It was suppose to be

JDS vs Ubereem
Cain vs Mir
TRT Bigfoot vs Roy
Struve vs Hunt
Gonzaga vs Del Rosario

But it all fell apart

 

An all HW card sounds slightly more exciting than an all WMMA card. There’s like 3 or 4 guys in the whole division that are fun to watch. Pass.

 

Solid matchmaking, but if you want to please the fans, you need to have Greg Hardy getting beat up badly by someone.

Might be one of the shortest cards ever.

 

I was thinking same thing Overeem vs Volkon and Beast vs Blades were both so good imagine a card filled with GIANTS fuck these midgets lollllll

 

It still ended up being a great card, that was my first live UFC event and it was a blast. Every fight on the main card had a finish.

The prelims were great too. Dan Hardy smoked Bang Ludwig, Jamie Varner and Barboza put on a banger, Glover Teixeira made his UFC debut. That card was fire.

 

Great idea op would be dope . I'd personally love to see Volkov vs Francis I really think Volkov is the dark horse of the division despite his freak loss to Lewis and it'd be interesting to see an elite martial artist like Volkov vs the pure power of Francis ( even compared to Lewis Francis swings wild looping punches volkovs experience and recent wait gain could make him pull through and get the decision, or he gets murdered lol) .

Good luck getting all those people available and ready to go for the same card. And you shouldn't try to matchmake a card based on the results of fights that haven't happened yet because you don't know how long they will need to be out.

Like if Francis wins by early first round KO, why would he wait till August/Sept to fight Jon Jones who hasn't fought in like a year? But if Stipe wins a 5-round war maybe he won't even be ready by August

 

true but think about this, blaydes lewis just happened with rozen/gain this coming week and Stipe Francis in a few weeks. All of these guys are fighting roughly within the same month and remember overeem and volkov fought a few weeks back. They can definitely make it happen by summertime and if one guy drops out you have overeem or JDS or one of these top 10 guys who can step in

 

Dana will take your advice. (which isn't bad) and fuck it up by having the card in either Denver or Mexico city

 

Every fighter TS listed is fun to watch, except maybe old man Arlovski.

 

They should do an LW card for ufc 262

 

Just don't put it in Colorado like last time

 

All I know is, it sucks that Lewis and Volkov are going to take a back seat to Jones.

Let alone the path to a belt for Gane and others.
