I was caught in a arm bar and didn't tap quite quick enough so my elbow is a little tender. I was wondering when I ice it is it better to ice the inside of the bend or the outside? Or would it be better to just alternate back and forth? Thanks guys.

I messed up my arm when I got armbarred in my first competition. First off, you should see a doctor and find out if it's serious (torn ligaments, whatever). Second, you should rest it and massage it for ten minutes at a time with ice. You can still train but take it easy on that arm. It should feel better soon.

Heat Ice Heat Ice for heating wet a towel throw it in the microwave. For ice get like a bag of vegetables from the freezer. I messed up my shoulder on a lock and did this when i got home the next day it felt 100x better

Thanks guys. Mine isnt really bad though luckily. It barely even hurt when it happened, I just felt alot of pressure but later in the day it just kept getting more tendor. Its been a week almost and it feels fine. I just wanted to know so next time if it's worse I'll know what to do. Thanks again

if its not that bad,

then heat it.

warmness will encourage it to heal faster.

ice is used to decrease swelling and numb it up if it has too much pain.
