All three are very physically demanding and punishing to the body at times, out of these 3 sports which is the toughest?

Rugby is like football only faster paced with less equipment.

Hockey is goat team sport n true A level athletes but the games evolved to be more finesse then the older rock em sock em style of the previous generations.

Tougher athletes go to rugby due to physicality but if you're talking about toughest sport to actually play , hockey.

Anybody can run on grass. Not everybody can keep balance on 1/4 inch blades while being body checked by 200lbs+ people at 25mph

Rugby. Hockey players are very tough and the process of winning the Stanley Cup is brutal but rugby players are as tough as you’ll find.

I'd like to see any of those tough ass rugby players take a clean hit coming across the middle from a prime Ronnie Lott or Jack Tatum

Will these two tomato cans need three helmets and full body armor? They’ll probably need six timeouts and some lipstick after hitting some rugby players.

C-level manlet Volkanovski is the p4p fighter atm and has cleaned the division.

Nfl has what? Mitrione? Hardy?

Football is so tough, its players are crippled and riddled with CTE when they retire. At the age of 28.

It's so tough, there are lots of past NFL legends who have stated they won't let their sons play.

Boxing is the only sport more damaging/tough.

Football players have exhibited physical trauma consistent with what historically were only conditions observed in car crash trauma victims.

But imagine a 6'4" 240lbs man hitting you at 20 miles per hour on the ice. I think that impact would be devastating.

Not saying Football isn't tough, but there hits is more an accumulation of many hits maybe not as devastating as a hockey hit but nonetheless they have a lot more contact to the head.

Just like how Boxing is for combat sports. More constant punches to the head. More than any other combat sport.

Saying that, the devastating hit in hockey is few and far between. So it's not sustained as something like Football where it's repetitive. Even though it's more of just a constant wear and tear and beating to the brain. However the degree of intensity it is.

Anywho, just look at this hit from hockey.

Which one requires the body to rest more before the next competition?

Chuck Hughes is the only player to die on the field during an NFL game. That was in 1971.
Bill Masterton is the only player to die as a direct result of injuries suffered during an NHL game. That was in 1968.

Hockey for sure. It’s the fastest sport which makes the body contact punishing, played on unforgiving ice which doesn’t help when you’re complete laid out from a body check, no out of bounds where one can hide, fighting is allowed within reason, sticks skates and the puck can all cause injuries and be used as weapons and to top it off, the Stanley cup playoff is the longest toughest grind out of all the sports. Majority of the players are playing injured by the end of it.

For me, it’s not even debatable.

Possibly hockey due to the speed, but they do get less issues after due to skills. Many are experts at avoiding a hit.
Also getting your throat cut open is not a threat in the other sports.

In the other Sports they do celebrate stupidity that fucks their brain up way more.
