interesting considering Dom beat Ian easier in their fight than DJ did in either of theirs.......

@SCTT_UncleCreepy is probably my favorite FLW.

I believe it...though i'd be more interested in who BJ Penn thought was the best fighter he ever fought...rather than a guy who didn't fight a whole lot of great fighters.

My guess is GSP, but I doubt BJ will ever admit it. He'll probably say Matt Hughes.

It's was awesome, but he picked the wrong ref to go all nuts with, big Dan only stops a fight when someone dies... If he'd have just gone for the KO instead of screaming "yeah" and slapping him, who knows what might have happened. MM wouldn't have got a TS for at least a year after when he did and Cruz might have never fucked up his knees.

Prince would probably still be alive and milk would be $1 less a gallon.

Ian and MM had a couple of great fights. Especially that first one.

Ian's probably retired now, eh? Injuries really fucked him up. Sounds like he's planning for post fighting now, is a manager at a marjiuana disperancy i think?

Nothing against Ian, I'm actually a fan, but he's been living off of this one moment (which is sped up in the .gif btw) for 4 years now. Demetrious has gone 10-0 since then and Ian has gone 2-3. I understand injuries have derailed him quite a bit but he hasn't been consistent in the cage either.

What screwed him was the scorecard mishap. There was supposed to be a sudden death round iirc and MM had nothing left.

Yeh out of all the judging related fuck ups, that's probably the biggest one of all time. Pretty sure there's never been a sudden death round before or since either. And it was for a title shot. Or the title I can't remember which now.

I'd forgotten all about that sudden death deal thing... Crazy.

Coulda woulda shoulda. Fuck.

Yeah, it was a FlyW title tournament fight and they were supposed to have a sudden death 4th round in case of a draw. It was a majority draw so they were supposed to fight one more round but it got announced as a majority dec. win by MM somehow.

OK the Cruz thing was random, but DJ would have had to string a couple of wins together, and that would have taken at least a year... You have to imagine he'd still be champ eventually but the hyperbole p4p goat talk that follows him now wouldn't be near the same.

Great memory on that sudden death round though... I'd forgotten that was supposed to happen.

Hey, you know what they say about the flap of a butterfly's wings.
