Came 3rd in the Blue Belt Masters <76 in the Gracie Invitational yesterday at the Seni Show in London. I know its not a huge achievement - but Im chuffed to fuck.

My first fight I won - 11-0

My second I was winning 9-2 I believe, then I subbed the bloke with a Knee on Stomach - He verbally submitted by screaming like a girl!

My third I lost to the gold medalist - Ive fought him before and lost 3-0 - this time he beat me 6-2. But I've taken some great learning points from the match and I'm really pleased with what I learnt.

In my fourth fight I fought for 3rd place, pulled off a flying triangle - had it locked in - but let it go - I think coz I was soooooo surprised I pulled it off! Got a reversal and a mount - think I busted his knee 5 seconds from the end in the reversal- but hey, that competition.

I was well psyched - another guy from my club got the silver in the same cat - and the guy who one was from Italy - great competitor and practitioner.

And My club done good too - without their support and that of our brothers in London and Hungary I wouldnt be where I was yesterday!!!!

Show Off, you'll be walking around with an unbuttoned shirt like some Medalion Man BeeGee. Really there'll be no shutting him up now lol Do medalists get congratualted with belt whips (I hope you got me a big one :))?

Seriously though great job, had no doubt that you would do really well. More than deserved. Dave and his bro are really great guys and I honestly wouldn't be training without their help.

Congrats to everyone who competeted especially everyone from the great 302 FIGHT TEAM!!!

Btw who was it that got Silver then Dave (one of the London lads?) and how did Muttley do?

...oh and...

Is that <76 weight or age Helio coz I could have sworn you looked older than that.

302 OSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I entered seni in birmingham last year. I didn't like the tournament format.

I entered it in Birmingham in 2005, and i wasn't impressed. Although to be fair, i entered the one in London on saturday too and it was organised much more professionally.

I lost by one advantage point, for a sub attempt. Gutted.
