GSP Vs. Tyron Woodley would have been great to watch too.
I'm not the biggest GSP fan but those 2 matchups would have been incredible to watch.

Lombard/Anderson and Lombard/GSP have been dream matches for me for years now.

I'd expect GSP to jab and take Woodly down constantly but GSP vs Lombard would be interesting.

Definitely would have been interesting, not sure what my prediction would be though.

GSP would expose Lombards gas tank and gets his first finish in what like 5 years?

Lmbards gas tank isn't that bad and even if it was, GSP still wouldn't push because of Lombards power.

Shit, Lombard could be handcuffed and GSP would still be paranoid about getting tagged by Hector.

I think GSP takes decisions against both of them, he won't finish Lombard at all he's got a great chin and is tough and probably wouldn't finish Woodley.. coming from a GSP fan

GSP's box and timing on his TD are too good for Lombard. Okami was using his range to out box Lombard and force him to come forward into Okami's double. I see GSP doing the same thing except he's even better than Okami in those regards.

Lombard is still a really tough fight for him though. He might be a different animal at WW. I want to see what happens when he's in there for a few rounds against someone he can't bully around in the grappling.

I don't know much about Woodley, but isn't Lombard just a one dimensional power puncher (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) and we've seen GSP deal with guys like that with ease in the past.

I think the first few minutes could have been interesting, but Georges would have exploited the stamina factor and dominated after the first round.

    I'd take Lombard.

Why can't he just fight Johny already?

Funny, considering I don't think I've ever seen GSP take a single step back from anyone he ever faced, including Hendricks.

His entire game plan is constant forward pressure.

That's wrong. Okami took Lombard down three times, and every single time was by single leg TDs, concretely by checking Lombard's leg kicks, grab the leg, and apply his strenght and wrestling skill.
Its very unusual what Okami did to Lombard in that aspect, and its not like now any good wrestler will be able to do the same just because Okami did it. Probably not even Okami could repeat what he did in their fight.

I think GSP could outbox Lombard, as Okami did but even better, and maybe get a lately TD when Lombard gassed.

GSP return in a 3 rounder won't be against a power puncher and someone who can throw him on his head. I see him having an easier time with Woodley than Lombard in 3. In 5, his pace, his non-impressive, non-goat performance decision.
