I'm sick of hearing this bullshit

Loads of fighters who lose say "I was winning that fight..... "

Conor most recently said it

Holly suggested it

Various others have done so

It's stupid, what it means is "I was winning the fight until I lost"

Which in a fight or any sport means you lost

So why do they think they deserve rematches

In a running race no one says "well I was winning until the faster guy ran past me, I wanna have another go"

Or soccer "well we were up on goals until the last ten minutes so we want a rematch"

Essentially you couldnt hang for 5 rounds....Nate diaz won 2,3,4,and 5 rounds.

Nate didnt have a camp and 10 days notice. He admittedly said he was rusty "after the first I told my corner to calm down Im warmed up now".

Which is understandable yet Conor fans hold his first round as a badge of honor when the guy didnt have a camp.

The only time I'll ever accept such an excuse is if it was something like Rory in his fight against Lawler. He literally fought through the pain and only lost until his nose turned into pixie dust. THAT is someone who had the heart and wanted nothing more than to win. 95% of time the excuse is from someone who was looking for a way out once they either panicked or got rocked, which apply to Holm and Conor accordingly.

Yeah he lost, but he won majority of the fight. Which means his gameplan was good and he is pretty good.

In conors case, he lost in the 2nd round, he shouldnt take pride in winning 1 round.

In the pre hype talk someone asked him to predict and he just say "I might get murked, or he might" which to me sums it up, you go in, fight to win, one wins, move on
