I'm not even an AS fan and I don't have him in my top 3 all time greats. But man.. Was he impresive yesterday? Especially with his speed and cardio. I was pretty sure he was done before yesterday. I think he's still a top5 MW.
 
To put this in perspective, what you witnessed yesterday was KJ Noons fighting Anderson Silva. Proves nothing.
 
I was impressed he came back that quick after that injury but i kinda expected more from AS.

I was more impressed by Diaz to be honest.

And Jones is the GOAT.

Cardio? ummm what? at the pace/style they were fighting, they could have gone 15 rounds..

His speed looked diminished and there wasn't the usual pop in his punches.. He looked like a guy who should retire
 
I'm only impressed he didn't manage to KO a small injured fighter.
 
Forget the man is 39 years old, entered the cage after breaking his leg and fought - at least - a decent opponent with solid footwork.

The fact that Silva threw those leg kicks with his previously Injured leg, without any reservation, is amazing enough.
 
Andersons emotion are getting the best of him that is his only problem. You do not cry like a bitch after winning a fight were your the favourite, yes he came from a freak accident that destroyed his leg for a bit but the injury is quite common in kickboxing, soccer, and many other sport no need to sob like a child cause you overcame it and fought nick diaz

Not being able just light up Diaz should dissapoint everyone. Diaz is a smaller fighter with a style that is absolutely tailor made for Silva to destroy and he didn't at all. Pretty poor performance overall.
 
Anderson Silva - after this injury and 2 straight losses... Yes, his performance was great. He is top 5 middleweight right now.



He should fight against Rockhold and if he wins - let him have a title shot.








Good list. But Fedor is HW goat of all time. Nobody was so dominant for so many years. And he won with guys that are now top heavyweights ( Cro Cop is back in UFC, Andrei Arlovski, Mark Hunt )

Fight he was real loser - Antonio Silva, he didnt have his strength to fight off this giant, he maked stupid decisions and lost truly.

Werdum - Best HW submission artist ever? Probably yes. He got caught = he lost.

Henderson - he was in best shape ever in this fight, heavy, on TRT ( Fedor was 103kg if i remember and Hendo was 98 kg of pure muscles ) - he hitted him 3 times in the back of the head. No one cares - and fight was really good.


Fedor prime was = 30 years old. He didnt get any better after this. In fight with Mirko he was in best shape ever.

I'm really a fan boy i admit that.


Why he started losing?

His fighting IQ got lower

His physics and training metods of his body ( he always had great cardio, but after his 30s he had lack of raw power that he needed to win with someone like Antonio Silva and other big HW )

I don't understand the whole:

"I'm not even a big fan of Fighter, but I think he's so amazing"
AND
"Big fan of Fighter here, but I think he sucks and will get destroyed"

As if that makes an argument more compelling. GTFO
 
No one seems to take into account that Silva had to rehabilitate that leg for like the first 6 months, and did not get adequate training. Your muscles atrophy after an injury like that.

I thought he did an amazing job for the little amount of time he had to recover. Next fight he will look much sharper.
