I thought he was a really special talent, who was mentally strong, with a unique blend of martial arts. I thought he had a vision like a Sugar Ray Robinson, Roberto Duran, or a Georges St. Pierre.

Turns out he was a flavour of the month, an overrated hype job, who fights for money rather than glory and legacy. Pretty sad I was wrong! : /

I don't think I've ever been so duped by the media. This is honestly as bad as the Ronda hype job...I used to sit and laugh at everyone drinking the Ronda Kool-Aid....Now I am pretty much just as bad.

Thanks for dissing the fans Conor. What a greedy fighter with no heart.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. Life is about a lot more than money. Sure fighters should get paid what's fair so that they may have a comfortable retirement if they live within their means...but this is pure greed.

Conor is obsessed with flashy things. You can't take that shit with you when you die. Your accomplishments last an eternity. Now Mcgregor will be remembered as one of the biggest clowns in sports.

He will be back for the New York show I'm guessing.

Do you go to work for buttons?. Of course its about money, its about money for all fighters.

It's happening...

Conor told you from the beginning it was all about dat cheese.

He was certainly not an overrated hype job. He put on some great performances and dropped Aldo like he was moving in quicksand. However, he was overrated by his fans and their delusion that there was something unique about his "movement."

He was definitely one of the best featherweights to ever compete, and an entertaining personality.

That said, if he seriously quits like this... LOL! Good riddance.

This reminds me of that fighter Nick Denis. He had 1 win and 1 loss in the ufc. He lost by rnc but he took so many shots before the submission he accumulated head trauma and decided to retire. Could be that Conor's feeling the same way? I dunno, just speculation

How can you compare a 1-1 UFC fighter to a champion?

See and knew there were decent Conor fans somewhere. And I do feel sorry for them. The shit talkers can fuck off and die. But his good fans are getting fucked over just like the huggers.

Imo he literally told every person that ever even cheered for him to fuck right off.

It's sports. Keep it in perspective and don't get so emotionally invested.

You're obviously not reading it properly, i'm saying he may have accumulated brain trauma from the Nate fight and decided it's not worth risking his general health

This is the first time I have seen that Diaz bros/red panty night pic. I pray it is the last.

I find that strange when he's doing hard training in Iceland right now.

I know Conor has lost before, but that's the first I've seen him really take a beating. His looks at the presser.. It was like the fight was taken right out of him.

I still think something else is at play though.
