I want to start training MMA

My coach was a great prospect who came from muay Thai into Mma. Fought pro and did alright, and his whole jits and ground game training started out as sub defense and getting back to his feet.

If you're dead set on jumping in there ASAP then spend 6 months focusing on tdd, sub defense, and getting up from bad positions. Make sure your coach lines up a fight that makes sense for you.
