Never heard of it. Maybe I'll give it a shot, but prefer watching subs. I'm watching 3 current animes, which I hate doing because I feel like I get a tease for less than 30 minutes and I have to wait a week for the next episode. For example current seasons of Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Gintama. I want to just take a break from all 3 for 3 months so I can just binge through them at once.

They have the Japanese version with English sub. That and this series is split in to two sagas. First saga has both the English sub and English dub while second season is subs only.

Street Fighter got legendary cast.
Fatal Fury (fuck the KoF pussyfication), Soul Calibur and Tekken got good ones too

VF games were good to play though
Did'nt looked like the cast had potential to whatever story, but the anime end up being surprising good at the end.
Will even have liked a new series involving the recent characters (anime cover until VF2)

Kinda OT very first chapters got sick Terada art, too bad they dropped it

VF was by far the best 3d fighter as of the last time I payed any attention. (Can't say I've checked since 2000ish)

I wasted so much time on the saturn port of VF2 but like you said it was amazingly playable considering how limited the technology and new the gameplay was.

SF2 really had it all when it came to cast though; pretty much nailed it. Everything else since has been a poor imitation. Sega wasn't fooling anyone with calling Ryu "Akira."

I get akira seems like a goku rip off but I love Jackie character.

Tekken 2 had better music and characters but Virtua Fighter 2 was GOAT gameplay wise.

Street Fighter 2/Virtua Fighter 2/ Super Smash Bros Melee are the trifecta of fighting games imo.
