I want to see Shogun at MW

If Machida and Wanderlei can cut to MW, Shogun can.

I don't really know if this Shogun can beat Cormier or Volkan or Rumble or Jones or Gus, but I feel like Shogun can beat anyone at middleweight division on any given day.

To be honest, Shogun vs Mousasi has been a dream fight for me for many years, later of whom is the champion at Bellator at middleweight, who I believe would destroy Whitaker easily as well because match ups make fights, though I don't think Mousasi would fair as well as him against the murderer's row that Whitakker went through to become a champ.

Ive thought about this before as well..hes always looked kinda flabby at 205..185 could be a start of something magical for him..but i dunno if he wants to put in the work to do it..machida was always a 185er even at 205 he was too small..shogun on the otherside is a heavier guy

Look at him now. He's small and pudgy.

Machida was a small pudfy LHW because he didn't know how to diet. He became a small pudgy MW because he doesn't know how to diet.

Same story for Shogun.

If he cuts down, he'll look amazing for 1 fight after he sheds the fat and still has LHW muscle. Then he'll lose that muscle and look like a bum.

If Shogun knew how to diet, same story for Machida, he wouldn't be pudgy at 205.

Shogun is built way different than Wanderlei (all upper body muscle at 205) and Lyoto.

Plus Shogun is a 205 Pride Grand Prix champion and 205 Division UFC champion and currently 3-win streak at 205.

He is fine where he’s at it has more to do with his age and injuries than size

He has losses to MWs and small LHWs in Henderson and Sonnen so that’s proof dropping division has its own challenges
