    Didnt Dana say that ?

I ponder this because Fight Night: Boston is headlined by Siver/Mcgregor 145, and co headlined by Henderson/Ceronne, both top 5 LWs

So the higher ranked, heavier weight class isnt headlining

Is this because the UFC is in a desperate state where they throw all their past statements out the window

Cowboy is a late replacement for Eddie Alvarez
Eddie and Benson are both coming off loses. That is why McGregor and Siver where the original headliners.
Had it been cowboy vs Henderson when it was booked it would have been different imo

If the fight was originally Cerrone/Benson I think it would have been the main, but Cerrone is a late replacement.

And we're done. McGregor's also getting a title shot with a win, it's doubtful either Eddie or Bendo would have.

What Dana says doesn`t mean shit.

The UFC will do anything for money.

Keep this 2 in mind and you will understand things better.

No. It's when several champs are fighting on one card then the order goes after weight.
If it went afetr weight all of the time then Mike Russow would have probably headlined a few cards

You really couldn't deduce this one on your own, huh? Maybe the fact that every card hasn't been in categorical order from FLW to HW should be a good indication that it's only pertaining to title fights.

Supposedly only for championship fights. But then again there was 169.

McGregor is one of the biggest, most hyped stars at the moment. Obviously he gets the main event slot.

Were you this confused when Edgar/Swanon headlined over Barboza/Green?

lets be real, whoever the biggest draw will headline the card. Casuals usually are more interested in the heavier weightclasses but if someone can excite them enough and be a draw at a lower one then they'll top cards too.

Depends on who the bigger draw is.

Tito Ortiz headlined a few cards even though a HW title fight was on the line.
