Especially to it's hardcore base and to be honest the sport lost alot of legitimacy beginning from 2015 January fight card McG-siver and it won't down hill from there on and turned into a freak show.
I recall Sherdog and generally MMA in 2009 until early 2015 before it hit inflation and it was the best fighting the best and the best fighters getting media spotlight and coverage while people use to debat skill for skill and stuff like that but you have to admit the sport went down hill and turned into an entertainment bussiness much like WWE and the Music Industry. It became a freak show unfortunately.
It's no longer a sport for the baddest men to compete since they are not given much media coverage and promoted into the spotlight. UFC no longer appreciates skills and fighting as an art. WWE antics has taken over
