He had a bad game plan. In his past fights he would come in strong and look for a finish early on. Instead the guy and coaches decided to have him throw jumping kicks and try and out cardio another fighter. It's like having Edmonds tell Ronda to believe in her hands against Holly Holm.

You fight with your strengths.

 

It's not like Ngannou has beaten anyone relavent

 

He was shook. But, I actually thought he looked really good for 7-8 minutes.

 

Honestly it's possible that his retirement was coming sooner rather than later, considering he's getting married in a week.

So he likely had other things on his mind.

Probably took the fight just to collect a paycheck.
But it does feel weird to see Lewis and Rumble retire suddenly.

 

Hunt will give Ngannou the same treatment...and Lewis hit Mark with some bombs that would have fucked up 99 percent of the human race, but the super Samoan wasn't having it tonight in front of his home crowd and his kids.
