I think they should punish fighters that use eye pokes by taking 1/4 of their purses and here is why

The other day I was playing with my 5 years son and he accidentally poked me right in my eye and I couldn’t blink fast enough and now I see floaters and flashes and I’m forced to make an eye examination appointment. Luckily I have health insurance.So imagine a professional MMA fighter jabbing his finger straight into your eye and the ramifications of that. U see sometimes nothing happens but sometimes your eyes are literally fucked and there should be severe punishment for those that do even unintentionally since eye injuries don’t care about the intentions! Do you agree?

I got really angry because of the floaters and stuff and I got worried because my job requires my eyes to be sharp to take care of him and my wife since I’m the only one bringing the cash in these hard times. I just got really anxious since I have lots of bills trying to give my family the best life I can at the moment since my father wasn’t able to do that for us and I didn’t want to be like him in that regard!( by the way, I’m self employed)

Every time a fighter commits an eye-poke, it should automatically fall on the ref to take a finger away. Fighters only have 2 eyes, so it's not unfair to give fighters only 10 chances throughout their careers.

Blind eyes matter too, but the finger was a victim of intent.

Not sure about the financial penalty and it’s probably not realistic at all. But they should start taking a point immediately. Guys would figure out really quick to be more careful.

I think everyone, for a better or worse, should get one freeby groin strike and eye poke each fight. Because legit accidents do happen. Second eye poke, second groin strike... sorry, even if it was an accident, you're effecting the outcome of the fight too much and we need to level the playing field, so that'll be a point deduction.

Jokes aside, I'd be OK with a one-poke one-point (deducted) regime. Problematic fighters would change their gameplan QUICK. And, of course, you could still keep referee discretion (because I do believe that intent matters to an extent).
