I think that Masvidal is going to piece up Diaz and finish him...maybe

First off I like both these guys as fighters and going to hate to see one of em lose. Love them both.Legit af.

Prolly get ripped up on here but Masvidal has never looked better and has some of the most underrated boxing in mma. This guy is criminally underrated on here.

I wasnt overly impressed with diaz stand up against Pettis. Could have been ring rust but Diaz won more by grinding him against the cage and takedowns. If masvidal can keep his back off the cage it could be a long night, or short night for diaz. Styles make fights and i think masvidal wins this. Even by a possible tko later on the fight. No one finishes someone like diaz early.

If Diaz is able to keep Jorge against the cage he'll win the fight. I just dont think he will be able to.
If were gonna see this for a 2nd time. Mas is the one to do it

Agreed!

Diaz's striking/defense looked sloppy early.

Someone who's more of a puncher could have capitalized with him coming off such a layoff.
 
I'm hoping for a 4 second flying knee KO from Masvidal

Likely won't happen but I hope it does
 
He has the grappling to finish him . After he rocks him on the feet . Conor didn’t want to play in gaurd and follow up
 
Mehh, a UD is much more likely imo, but a finish is definitely possible.
 
Lol... The "maybe" at the end of the tittle ruins your entire thesis of what youre trying to implement from the beginning. Perhaps you should change the title to " im not certain but i think i maybe wrong but im pretty sure im right"

Mad is bigger and hits harder. I'd expect to see him drop Diaz a couple times
 
He's gonna beat the brakes off Nate but Nate's durable as fuck.

His striking looked sloppy early, but his defense was actually the best in the first round. My eyes were deceiving me until I rewatched it and noticed how many times Pettis was hitting gloves and arms and getting his shots deflected before they hit. His defense looked pretty decent in the fight for being so rusty. His striking looked sloppy, but he was outlanding Pettis at nearly a 2-1 clip with a much higher work rate, and pushed the pace on the ground as well. I expected him to come back looking like he did against Conor, but he actually improved in some areas and regressed to the mean in others. He should get his striking tuned up a little bit more for the next fight. Probably focused a lot more on his kick defense ,clinch game, and jits for this camp.

I feel too Mas can toy with Diaz standing, at least for the first couple rounds when fresh. That long-term Diaz toughness/grit seems to find its way through the storm a lot of times but Mas might be too much.
 
You can't maybe it. Go full force if you're going to make a prediction on a 50/50 fight so we can bump this thread.

All i think is Diaz has a slightly better chin.
 
It's possible.

But I think Diaz finishes him or gets the decision. If I had to bet on this fight, I'd put it on Nate. Especially if it's a 5 rounder.

I dislike Whorehay more than Nate but I see the fight going Masvidal's way , he is technically superior and bigger
