Jimmie Rivera has been getting tagged and dropped too frequently.
Even during his glorious padded winning streak. Especially in the UFC.

Dodson is too fast, hits too hard. Hurts people win or lose. I don't think he has ever been in a fight when he didn't seriously hurt his opponent (except second fight with DJ)

And it's NOT an easy task to get full NCAA on Dodson. He's very sneaky and hard to control.

    What says you?

Nah Rivera is a beast and he got hit with a baseball bat upside the head (figuratively) in his last fight.

Dodson fights so tentatively since moving back to 135, he has legit power and an iron chin but just never uses it. I've already put a fair bit of money on Rivera to win, I think he wins a decision via walking Dodson down and throwing way more punches. His (Dodson's) inactivity will cost him the fight.

Never uses it? He dropped every BW he fought with, I think. Moraes and Muhnoz - definitely.
And no way Rivera throws more punches than Dodson. He doesn't have this speed.

Yeah I'm afraid Dodson is gonna be involved in close decisions for the rest of his career. I do think he should've won all his fights at 135, especially the Lineker fight which was a blatant robbery.

I certainly hope so. I don't know what it is about Rivera but I don't like him.

    Wait a minute.
Rivera is -130. Rivera dec is +115.

What did you put a fair bit of money on ? And WHY? Odds are too shitty to be that sure . These guys both have some split decisions in their resume, it's just silly...

He doesn't finish them is what I meant.

What on earth does speed have to do with volume?

Rivera's nowhere near as fast but is known for his cardio, pressure boxing, and elite output. He will definitely throw more punches than Dodson. I don't think you know what you're talking about dude

Actually I saw him losing Lineker fight and Moraes fight - yeah, could've been easily a draw since 3rd round was so back and forth

Dodson's output is great as well, but he actually hurts with it. Speed WILL decide here and I doubt Rivera will survive until decision.
    Dodson will survive anyway...

He could've been...easily...if not for some little mouse crossing his road to the belt...

Rivera's coming off an embarrassing loss and will be extra cautious. Dodson's best years are behind him. I would favor Rivera and I really don't think anyone is getting KOed.

  14. I actually think that Dodson will be the one stiffened.

    ?
I honestly don't see much difference between Dodson from previous years and now.

That would be new. Dodson's chin is still solid granite.

Dodson doesn’t seem to be at his best anymore. I think Rivera will bounce back.

Not a huge Jimmie fan, so a Dodson win would be fun.

Dodson is frustrating with all his unnecessary movement and non-committal strikes.

It’s one thing to use footwork / feints to confuse / outstrike your opponent, and it’s another to just bobble around like Guida did against Maynard.

I’m not a fan of Rivera, but I’m not confident that Dodson’s MMA hyperactive-innatentive disorder won’t flare up again, costing him yet another close decision.

I actually think Dodson is great right now.
Fighting Moraes the way he thought....while being that much of a smaller man...

He could've definitely commited more after dropping/hurting guys, that cost him fights indeed.
However, I do believe that Rivera simply won't recover after a couple of Dodson's hard shots.

Quick win like...actually stopping Dodson? That will be HUGE accomplishment.
