I think dabronx is one the reasons that Khabib quit

No chance, nearly folded round one, would have been that for five rounds with khabib.

Yeah, he kinda ran out of Horchers and FWs and obviously didn't like what was coming next.

If anything this fight kinda showed Olives ground game is too suspect to present Khabib any real problems. Chandler rolled out of the body triangle backpack and GNPed him for half a round in the guard without any danger.

I don't think Khabib would swing punches with Oli though
He took chandler down in his first attempt and give him hell on the ground, what more you can asl except for a submission

Looked more like Chandler jumped the guillotine though. Kinda expected him to at least control Chandler longer with the backpack. Chandler is a much worse submission grappler than Khabib, and he was only in danger for about a minute

You think charles did bad on the ground?

Yes. The guy who lost 8 times, mostly folding under pressure is the answer to khabib.

Brilliant post.

When Maia beat Askren their records were 28-9 and 19-1. Styles make fights, Khabib can decide where a fight takes place. Charles can't (most of the time). This is about whether Khabib gets beaten at his A game (ground fighting) against Charles or not. Hard to say honestly, since we have no idea how Khabib will do against someone with more than basic BJJ. Best he faced was RDA and Charles' guard game is several tiers above his. Also, Charles did not fold under pressure at all tonight. Does it make more sense to judge Charles on his recent fights or on his losses from years ago? You tell me.

Khabib beats Oliveira 10 out of 10 times. He was in trouble like once in his UFC career on the ground against Poirier (and there is a chance he underestimated him). Khabib will have great respect for Oliveira's ground game, will probably play it safe for a clear 50:45.
Khabib was never in trouble from that guillotine. Dustin never had it under the neck, or control of HabibS body. Let’s see Chuck vs Gaethje, and we can get a better idea of what Khabib v Chuck would look like. Imo Gaethje smashes Charles into a bloody mess and Charles quits on the stool.

He is natural born khabib kriptonte
He quit because he knew 40 year old GSP would destroy his dead father’s ideal dream of a career. It’s all good.

RIP. Abdulmanap (sp).

Charles was fighting guys like Miller, Cerrone, Swanson, Edgar, at an age where most fighters are still busy crushing cans on the regionals....

Not saying he beats Khabib, but this "no heart" BS is getting annoying as hell.
