And bragging about sweeping your instructor is messed up. Either he let you or he sucks, either way broadcasting it to a bunch of people is not really cool.

On a side note, I was rolling with a purple belt one time. i saw the opportunity to pass to side control but it was so obvious I figured there was a catch so i did not take it. Finally I passed and he quickly put me back into guard secured a triangle. After wards he asked why i did not pass sooner. I told him i thought it was a trick. It was a good laugh.

i dont really get all the grief people are giving. He admitted that the instructor probably let him and has said he has focused on sweeping for a while. It is definitely possible that the instructor saw progress and gave it to him.

People should be excited about their accomplishments especially when it is done in a humble manner. I did not see anything in his post that even said he was good and he even said that the sweep wasn't really legit.

Give him a break and keep up the good work.
