I feel like we will soon see an exposé piece or documentary on the blatant corruption and mismanagement of delicate ped cases in the sport. It's just gotten too out of control.

Imagine looking back in retrospect in a few months or years after having found out that the ufc usada and many other entities were involved in a huge corruption scandal.

This whole thing has been so laughably mishandled that they are desperate saying any shit just in hopes that it'll stick to the wall and do damage control from the public backlash. Things are obviously being misconstrued, and made confusing in order to smoke screen what really is going on.

And that's precisely the question

What really is going on?

Is this the ufc usada and Jon all working together to get him to fight?

Is there extortion going on? Is someone extorting the ufc?

Is the usada causing all of this to give the ufc a hard time? Or are they being honest and trying to save face like the nsac is seemingly trying to do.

Sherdog gumshoes, let's peel back every single layer to this onion until we unravel each possible scenario for this blatant corrupt cover up. Something fishy is going on, let's follow the paper trail. Post your hypothesis, conspiracies theories on what you think is happening, and who is really being bribed out, extorted for more money, or what not

In the end money talks. Look at boxing. Horrendous judging. Everyone explodes, media goes crazy yet nothing happens. People forget, all the dodgy cunts get paid. Rinse. Repeat.

If they are simply on the UFC payroll and are corrupt, nobody would ever be flunking any tests. They would simply pass everyone. They basically have been preventing Jones from fighting the last couple of years.

Well we figured out they were corrupt when Dana White admitted they were planning to have Jones headline 230 before his sentence had even been announced.

Not sure why anyone is surprised, Floyd bought and paid for USADA way back, you have to be an idiot to believe otherwise.

The sport is a joke.

Yup. Usada has basically become a rent-a-corrupt doping agency

Nowitzki doesn't know about micro dosing!?

The ESPN deal is part of a long con, the end game is a 30 for 30 documentary on the rise and fall of the UFC and it’s behind the scenes corruption. They just needed more access to fighters and people behind the scenes within the promotion, and the ability to be on the ship when it sinks to ensure it can’t be saved.

You conspiracy loons are fucking insane.

The UFC want Jones to fight so if there's anything corrupt going on why wouldn't it be doing what the Russians were doing in Sochi and swapping out the original samples full of drugs with clean ones and not by doing what they've just done. Real corruption would be 'we found nothing' and not 'we found the same shit we found 18 months ago and it could be it's still there from 18 months ago'.

I'd assume that the amount USADA get for testing UFC fighters is a very small percentage of their income too, every Olympic sport in the US uses them to test their athletes and there are a fuck of a lot more competitors there than in the UFC. So why risk it all for some UFC cash, it makes no sense at all.

Justin Gatlin, banned for life initially but wore a wire to help take down Balco (Jeff Novitzky was involved in that too) , Jones isn't getting special treatment in the reduction in the length of his ban either.

Of course it will, but the UFC has to go out of business first. Just imagine all the dirt coming out in that aftermath... it will be glorious

Either way. The coward is exposed for generations to come. For every single person with anything connection to MMA, he will be remembered as a cowardly cheat and fraud.

Cheaters NEVER EVER prosper.

Wow and here comes the general insult guy. Ignored before even reading sorry bro lol

The UFC use USADA to make sure that only pre-approved fighters are allowed to juice. It's how they influence fights and create stars. USADA don't even have to be in on it. Designer steroids can beat the tests. I'd bet Lorenzo left a few guys with very useful contacts.

Doesn't always work, though. Northcutt is a great example of that, but they sure tried.

UFC are stuck.

The Fertitta brothers wanted to sell and get out whilst stock and price was at it's best. Conor was flying, Ronda was flying, Brock was still in the wings, Anderson and St. Pierre were on their last legs but were still in the wings. They were on FOX, they had a merchandising deal with a huge brand like Reebok who are a subsidiary of Adidas who are fashion giants. To get rid of that final black eye and stereotype of MMA being a dirty sport, they needed to get a USADA in to clean up the look. You have a quick look around Soccer, American Football, Basketball, Tennis, Golf etc. absolutely none of those sports have USADA level testing, they just don't. So not only are you taking on a anti-doping policy, but you're in fact getting the best in the industry.

All of this stuff attributed to the company looking like an amazing entity to purchase, but Lorenzo and Frank knew that it wouldn't last, they also knew that the USADA test failures would also ruin PPV's and would ruin public perception of certain stars.

Problem the UFC have now is, where do you go from here? Do you get rid of USADA? That would be the worst publicity ever, you'd essentially be admitting that you want athletes to get away with cheating.

Now we get down to the nitty gritty, and that is that as much as USADA is best in the market, they are being paid by the UFC. All that said, I think the UFC are willing to lose a lot of their mid-level talent to suspensions, Mendes, Mir, Rothwell, Werdum, but they will always keep an ace-in-the-hole with USADA like the Lesnar exemption and these bizarre Jones bans which seem tiny.

So yeah, I think USADA are corrupt and they pretty much give the UFC a get out of jail free card once every so often, it's part of the deal.

Thats not how corruption tends to work here.
