Oliveira being overlooked and not getting the credit he deserves with a win. Everyone is saying Tony is washed up and old. Sure, he's probably not in his prime but still one of the best in the division. I think he should get the next title shot whether it be against Khabib or the McGregor vs Poirier winner.

Tony is done. Give him the loser of Poirier/Conor, give Charles the winner. Let Tony work his way back, shouldn't take him long if he's still in top form.

I def thought Oliviera could finish him with a perfect shot on the feet or a wild scramble on the ground, but i never thought he would dominate Tony from start to finish like that.

The Weasel makes some great points imo about what he saw in the fight. A good watch if you're not familiar with his channel:

IDK, fighters have a shelf life, some longer than others, but eventually the time to hang em' up comes and with some fighters it seems a switch gets tripped and there just not the same guy.

Ferguson's style is one where he takes a horrendous amount of damage. So many fighter's hit that point after one fight where the losses just start to pile up - the Gaethje fight may have been that point (Chuck Liddell to Jackson II, BJ Penn to Edgar, Silva to Weidman, even on this card, look at Santos after Ngannou)

You're going to be in for a rough ride in about a month.

Right. Sherdoggers before the fight: "Oliviera loses to anyone that's a step up in competition. He crumbles under pressure. Felder beat him, no way he can handle Tony."

Sherdoggers after the fight:
"Tony is washed up & not the same. Tony was never even good, overrated grappler. Oliviera may be a little better but he still lost to Felder!"

this was a classic guy on the rise against guy on the way down. really easy fight to call..

Some people have a really hard time accepting that Tony lost.

I do think Tony is past his prime. Even so he still gave Justin trouble. Hell Justin was saved by the bell in round two.

the way Charles won the fight though was performance of the year worthy

As long as I've been on here, people will look for reasons to criticize instead of give props. So, not surprising that a result is due to someone being washed up instead of a strong performance by a lower ranked fighter. Also, Tony has lost two in a row now, so the haters will really be on him now. That's how it goes. It's important to get the right fights at the right time. If you miss your window, you are usually fucked.
