I started Muay Thai Kickboxing about 2 months ago..and according to my instructors, Iam doing amazing and beyond expectations...I'm competing in October and my instructors think that I have the ability to step my game up a notch..what I mean is..Is doing kickboxing 4 days straight, each class being 1 hour. I feel Iam being rushed and just need some advice..because, i might think i may become more fatigued and very tired.

Why not try and see how it goes......try it for a few weeks. You can always cut back to the way you're training now right?

I had students who were ready for competition but didn't personally feel that they were, it is not uncommon for a student to have a confidence problem and feel they may not be ready to enter competition. I do not know your instructor but I would say in that situation to trust your instructor as to your level of readiness. Four one hour classes a day though, honestly, is not enough for you to compete. Four hours a week of training, even if you are doing a great deal of supplemental conditioning, is not enough. Fights are won in the gym, and if you're not dedicated to the training you will not be ready to fight. Another thing you should be leery of is burnout, most new students, especially promosing ones, tend to burn out in the first month or two, especially if the instructor is excited about the students potential. I would suggest you back off and train at a level that you are comfortable with.

if u feel ready to compete then do it, if u dont then no need to. competing should be something you want to do, not something u are pushed into doing. best of luck with ur training tho.

on a side note... ITALY WINS!!!!

I would be training at my gym 4 hours a week, but, I workout every day for like an hour and a half. I want to compete but im afraid of burnout.

Oh yeah..Forza Azzurri.

Which tournament will you be competing in?
