I need a dog, suggestions?

    Not edgy but appreciate the sentiment. Lots of shelters euthanise after a certain amount of time, some of them don't.

    I have an akita and only would like a large dog after owning him. His willingness to be playful with two young kids is everything we would ask for in a family pet and dog.

    Please don't get a dog. If you're not prepared to walk it even twice a day I don't think it's going to have a great life with you.

    They euthanize at all shelters, including the "no kill" shelters. Also, dogs left in those no kill shelters are sometimes worse off than if they were just put down. They live their whole lives in a small cage. It's very depressing. (My sister is one of the main people at our local "no kill" animal shelter. The stories are rough.)

    Go to shelter, get some sort of lab mix.
