Never got to see Paul Taylor have a retirement fight, gutted he had to pull out of the Cerrone fight.

And Paul Kelly is still unsuccessfully appealing his sentence I believe.

Chances are we'll never get to see them fight again.

Always a huge fan of both, always came to fight. Kelly was scrappy with unbelievable heart. Taylor was technically a superb striker, and both guys had some awesome fights.

Also miss the days of having awesome events in the UK. I was lucky enough to be at Brawl at the Hall years ago, and had to wait 5 years or so for the next one. Some truly awesome events and fights between 2007 and 2009, and then they kind of slowed down after that.

Highlights of their brawl below, incredible fight

While I was never a huge fan of either guy, I loved their fight. Also, I have it in my head Taylor was robbed against Lytle; will have to watch again.

No idea why that HL doesn't show their fight in chronological order, but cool vid.

Paul talyor for sure.

Kelly tryed to scumbag cerrone and got whooped and cut for it

Ah the 2 English Pauls era.......top 20 thing of some sort for sure

I remember Taylors debut fight, one of the more earlier UFC PPV bouts I bought..he put a beating on some ugly looking Brazilian vale tudo guy, looked like Moe from the Simpsons.

Awesome fighters, they could of really been used these days for the euro cards but I don't know how consistent they would be the talent is more way more stacked now, but at least Taylor retired on a highlight reel KO.

Was just looking at their records and came across the name John Hathaway. That kid seemed like a solid prospect but dropped off the map after a tough loss to the stun gun back in 2014. Anybody know wtf happened to him? One brutal KO was enough for him maybe?

Paul Taylor, for sure. Kelly, not so much. Their fight was epic though, gets no love nowadays.

I remember watching Pauls Taylor, Kelly, Jenkins and Daley all fight in 2005/6 (I don't mean tag match, I mean other people)

I just wrote Paul so much it no longer makes sense as a name to me.

I miss Paul Harris,if only he wasnt mentally unsound

I'm pretty sure he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and that interfered with his training.

Didn't really care for Kelly, especially after he tried to cheap shot Cerrone at the touch of gloves before their fight. However, Paul Taylor was awesome to watch. Great striking, style, and stamina.

Paul Taylor runs an academy a few miles away from me.

.

I have it in my head that he was conned in the Sam Stout fight as well. Also came real close to beating Marcus Davis, which would have been a huge win for him at the time.
I think he was booked to fight Joe Lauzon at some point as well, but again fell through

That was Crocota, he was fucking odd. He was the guy who saw ghosts in the Luke Commo fight.
That was the first fight of the night at UFC 70, what a way to kick off the new era of UFC in the UK, the prelims especially and the main event were immense. That is possibly the best UFC card I have ever attended live (other than Brawl at the Hall)

He was due to fight Nelson at 189 but pulled out. He had a lot of time off in between fights and I suppose the Crohn's disease might/would explain that. That's a shame.

I'm pretty sure that's why it took him so long leading up to the DHK fight. I was never a big fan of the guy, but that's terrible to have happen to him. Hopefully he can manage it and get back in the cage soon.

Never cared for them all that much, stupidly enough - because of how they looked.

Just looked like 2 "typical chavvy" guys from Norwich, who you could picture on The Jeremy Kyle Show. Tough fellas, just didn't like em' much.

Psul Taylor almost KTFO Marcus Davis too until he got subbed. Dude was fun to watch for sure
