How is it that so many fans of MMA have gotten so obsessed with PPV buys? Are any of YOU making more money because the UFC sells more PPVs?

How is it even a concern of yours?

Do you get excited by watching the PPV numbers or by watching the fights?

What ever happened to judging fighters on their skills and on their actual fights?

yup, lots of immature and dishonest people reaching hard to protect their favorite fighters around here...

I get the feeling you're being sarcastic! You don't love it at all!

Conor talks about money and PPV buys a lot; Conor has many fanboys and haters. I personally don't care too much for it but big numbers is a good thing, the company will be able to do more with more money available.

I judge fighters based on skill.

But taking an interest in PPV numbers is taking an interest in the health of the sport.

They're STUPID. Ohhh my hero Conor sold more PPV's than anybody ( Not true ). That must mean he's the GOAT. and look at MM. He doesn't sell worth shit. So there is no way he's p4p number 1.

The only assholes that care about the numbers are the lowly beta males swinging from Conor's scrote.

Personally I don't give a single fuck about PPV numbers. As long as it's a good card with good fights I'm a happy camper. I'm a fan of MMA.

I want some of that Lorenzo sauce. Guy is a monster. (although probably 5'5)

I'm a UFC shill.
Me too. Do they pay you per post or a flat rate like me? You want to compare our wages to make sure they aren't low balling one of us? PM me.

You're going to get flamed by the dumb majority here. But you're absolutely right. Most casual MMA fans only care about the big fights. Most hardcore MMA fans are armchair Fertitas with bad attitudes. There is a core of legit hardcore MMA fans that agree with you. Fuck the UFC, fuck the UFCbros, and fuck Dana.

The UFC was instrumental in the creation and legitimazation of MMA worldwide. However, it's now holding the sport back. The old guard needs to go. It's time for international sanctioning and true prize fights. The UFC is a dinosaur and needs to go to extinct.

Holy crap, there are multiple people in ONE thread that are making sense. I finally found my spot!

Why do people act like the fact that DJ doesn't sell PPVs somehow equals that he's not one of the best fighters in the world.

How are people even beginning to compare Conor's accomplishments to DJ's?

What ever happened to judging fighters on their skills and on their actual fights?
I never buy ppv that's what torrents are for

I highly doubt Mr.Lorenzo would do such thing. Plus, we're not supposed to talk like this.. openly.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, im glad that that they are making more and more money and that they can do bigger and bigger things. I just don't see how that has become such an important part of how we judge the athletes.

In what other sports are the athletes judged that way?
