Tough to take him as a serious contender against Jones or Cormier regardless of what he did to Bader.
You let Cormier wrestlefuck you for even 1 minute and see how you feel.
He did give up but I will agree it was because he was gassed. He gave the joke up and you can tell his coaches are used to him quitting when things are going against him as they were literally screaming "Don't give up! Don't quit" when DC was looking to lock up the RNC.Didn't need the "i know its fighter bashing"
It attracts negative attention from mods to the title.
Its not fighter bashing if you present the question "do you feel like rumble quit against cormier? How serious can he be taken?"
But really....he didn't give up....he gassed. He is not used to fighters surviving the first 5 minutes. Sometimes there are power vs cardio sacrifices which have worked well in rumbles favor most of his career.
I agree with this and also think it was a combination of both. Rumble's style revolves around "explosion"/KOs, but DC grinded him down physically and mentally. Like Magnus said, his coaches were literally yelling "Don't give up, don't quit." Still, his monstrous right hand that DC took was scary, and idk how DC got right back up. With that kinda firepower he's got a chance against anybody. He did give up but I will agree it was because he was gassed. Tough to take you seriously when you claim a cage fighter quit "very easily". You have no fucking idea what was going on, so maybe you should back off the certainty level.Tough to take him as a serious contender against Jones or Cormier regardless of what he did to Bader.
