the dude's the spitting image of one punch man!

how badass would it be if he walked out to this next fight

Hes a brazilian eddie alvarez

Deja vu all over again.

Looks like a dbz character to me

I wanna say he's a more crisp consistent version of Eddie Alvarez, and I fucking love the Underground King.

But...eddie has a (slightly) better record and has consistently faced better competition? Not that moraes isnt a badass himself

Idk why i constantly find myself defending alvarez on here, dude doesnt get near the respect he deserves solely cause of the loss to conor

Him getting a bad rap because of his loss to Conor annoys me too. I defend him too, I just think that in recent fights if we were to compare the two, Moraes has looked better against his opposition, and has shown to consistently go out there and finish people.

That's true Eddie has faced tough opposition as well, but outside from his fight with Dustin and Justin, he hasn't looked so good during his UFC run, and I am one of the people that thought me made a monstrous comeback against Dustin and didn't "cheat Intentionally" like many people say, but that doesn't deny that before him getting rocked, he was getting beat pretty easily by Dustin. On top of that he hasn't really had a dominant performance outside of RDA, and Justin. That's 2 out of 7. Moraes has looked good all 4 of his fights.

Hopefully Eddie rides the momentum he has off of his KO of Justin and silences the controversy with Dustin once and for all. I love Eddie and I'm pulling for him, but even I have my doubts that he'll finish the fight this time around, and I hope I'm wrong.

The dude is the most underrated fighter of all time to casual sherdog fans, it's annoying

So I guess he looked like shit vs RDA

I quite literally said Justin and Rafael were his most dominant performances, come on Ronny B, read carefully. His fight against RDA and Justin were his best performances in his UFC run. I would love to include Dustin seeing how he made a crazy come back, but that fight was marred in "controversy" and prior to making his comeback he lost the first round and got rocked badly. so I'm waiting to see what happens in the rematch.

I'm rooting for Eddie Alvarez, besides Conor McGregor, he's my favorite fighter at 155, but he's only really let loose in 2(3) fights, he said so himself in interviews that his past fights were stinkers because of his mindset, and that he does better when he lets everything go. I can't find it at the moment but it was during the build up to his fight with Gaethje.

In context of the Topic TS started, I said Marlon has performed at a high level consistently when compared to Eddie Alvarez. Yes they both lost their first fights in the UFC although many argue Marlon beat Assuncao, but after that Marlon has looked amazing and has had 2 back to back KO's in the first round. After Eddie's first loss he won 2 split decisions and than won by KO.

I hate doing comparisons between fighters, and besides looks, Eddie and Marlon are nothing alike. I never said he looked like shit against RDA don't put words in my mouth especially when my post says "He hasn't really had a dominant performance outside of RDA and Justin"

Don't get it twisted during the controversy of Dustin and Eddie, I was on the side of he didn't cheat, during the build up to his fight with Gaethje, I picked him to win.

Just because I said something you don't like doesn't mean I'm not an Eddie Alvarez fan. That doesn't make any sense.

I read wrong, my bad. I read that he only looked good in the Justin and Dustin fights.

My opinion.. the only fight he made boring was the Pettis fight.

Cerrone fight was very entertaining, he learned hard about leg kicks

Gilbert fight he literally had to fight blind and did what he had to do

The rest of the fights really don't need an explanation. He got worked hard by Conor but outside of that he's been great.

No other LW in LW history has five top 5 wins, Eddie has 7. He's fought in the UFC 7 times, about to be 8 with 7 of the 8 being vs top 5 opponents (poirier was 9th first fight) and is 4-2-1 in those fights, but still.... in all 8 is betting underdog. Dude is as underrated as it gets
