The only reason that I would consider tolerable is if Dana said that there was a guaranteed rematch written into the first fight contract.

That's all Dana would have to say. "Cain is exercising his contractual right to a rematch."

If he said that, I could accept it. I wouldn't like it, but I could accept it.

This is match making driven by economics. They can promote Cain better than Arlovski.

Because, as the UFC so eloquently put it, Cain Valesquez has EARNED the rematch. Not sure what he did to EARN it but he earned it. I know because that's what the UFC said

UFC thinks rematches will always do bigger business than the first. I am not even sure it is about Cain. They just don't know how to sell new match ups unless one of the guys is a unstoppable champ.

Cain is such a cardio machine he needs to fight a guy 2-3 times to really get warmed up. UFC just accepts that and helps the machine to run.
