I just rewatched Jon Jones vs Cormier 1 and I actually think Cormier won 3-2 at rounds

When I watched it first live, I thought Jones won the last 3 rounds because Cormier was starting to gas in round 3. However, now, after rewatching it again, I actually think that cormier edge him out. Cormier was gassed in round 3 but still managed to have more significant moments than Jones. However it was a pretty 51-49 round. So it could have gone either way.
In round 4 and 5 Cormier was totally gassed and had nothing for Jones, he was even starting to get taken down repeatedly and could not get himself off the cage.

Nothing would make me happier, but he definitely lost 3 rounds.

Pairon's mistake was trying to be too subtle of a troll for Sherdog at first. Said some dumb things without realizing the level of dumb things people actually say on here.

So now Pairon changed it up and decided, "How can I be REALLY obviously trolling?"

Cool, so Dan actually did win round 3. It was a close round before Jones fully took over rounds 4 and 5. And with round 2, that means Cormier won 2 rounds. Jon still clearly won round 1.

Now what's the troll answer to that? How do you pretend to count to 3 in this situation

If the point of this thread is that Cormier put up a better fight early in that fight than people seem to remember, I agree. If you're saying, "I think 48-47 is a better score than 49-46", like OK we can argue.


But Cormier lost the first round and completely fell apart in the championship rounds.
